Well, now it’s really a novel. I am about halfway finished. I think I better focus on an excerpt to put up. The trouble is I don’t have one chapter that stands out as a single representation as the rest of the book. Like the first chapter is about a young girl who comes of age rather unexpectedly after a series of night terrors. But it’s not a darker version of, “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.”

That might make a good spoof, though. “Are You There, Dark Lord? It’s Your Humble Servant, Margaret of the Goat Cult.”

The rest of the chapters kind of giveaway the mystery, too. “Old Man Smithers??”

I’ll think of something.
